Will Contractors Face Greater Security Hurdles?
4/4/2006   On 4 Jan 06, the Federal Acquisition Regulation Council issued an interim rule directing agencies to require contractors to submit to the same background investigations federal employees go through under Homeland Security Presidential Directive-12. We'll have to see how this might affect Canadian firms, whether as primes or subcontractors. The FAR Council invites public comments on interim rules like this.
