Alberta Information and Communication Technology Council
We asked Judy Bradt to present the fundamentals of dealing with the US government, and to show us that "you can do this, too". She accomplished both, particularly with the anecdotes she used. The information and communication technology industry believes that if someone else can do it, we can do it too. We know how to relate to these stories.
Judy's flexibility is great. She was very upbeat, positive, accommodating what we needed. Her attitude towards small companies is great.
So many people are used to dealing with eight-figure contracts and don't have a lot of time for companies just getting started. Judy exudes a strong sense of enthusiasm for the potential of Canadian companies in the market. She likes working with Canadian companies, and is excited about what they can do. That excitement seeps from her pores, and can't help but be infectious!
We did a two-city event, and our attendance figures show a 21% jump from day one to day two. People came to the event in Calgary because people who attended in Edmonton the day before called them up and said, "You have to be there!" Judy's presentation was 25% of that programme...you do the math.
Judy's enthusiasm made a potentially dry topic easy to listen to, and her suggestions for putting together our programme were good. Her tenacity for follow up is good, too...she's a fun person to work with!
